H. A. Huber, Abstract Landscape

A 20th century abstract landscape, expressively painted in gouache on paper. Executed in a bold semi-abstract style, the composition depicts a wooded or forest scene, anchored by two prominent dark vertical forms suggestive of tree trunks in the foreground. Vibrant orange tones, evoking fallen leaves or shafts of sunlight, contrast strikingly against the muted earthy greens, greys and blacks of the background. Newly framed in a deep slim walnut box frame, oiled and waxed, float mounted on ‘Baghdad Brown’ mountboard and finished with AR70 anti-reflective glass. Signed lower left.
