ABOUT THE MAKER
Adam Ross is a Northumberland-based ceramic artist and designer whose work bridges functional tableware and sculptural ceramics. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art in Ceramic Design (2009), he is known for using traditional wheel-thrown techniques as a foundation for expressive sculptural experimentation.
His practice focuses on altering and manipulating ceramic forms through faceting, cutting, and distortion, leaving visible traces of the making process. This creates work with a strong sense of movement, spontaneity, and individuality. Alongside his sculptural pieces, he produces refined tableware collections that balance utility with distinctive character and craftsmanship.
Ross has also collaborated with major luxury and lifestyle brands including Mulberry, Aesop, and The Ritz-Carlton.
